Charter for "ACEO ~ Art Cards Editions and Originals"
"ACEO" - what does it mean? It is an acronym for "Art Cards Editions and Originals". ACEOs are collectible cards created by artists. This group is dedicated to sharing information and discussion concerning the creation, selling, and trading of these cards.
ACEO is NOT a group. ACEO is a MOVEMENT. This group is simply a vehicle for all who are interested in promoting this movement. Here we offer support, as well as a forum in which to discuss our passion. We are open to the infant artist as well as the master. Though opinions vary, we all share the same passion to create and provide a "home" where everyone fits in.
The only true rules to creation are: 1) Size should be 2.5 x 3.5 The idea of the artist card is to keep one uniform size and the universal standard already recognized is 2.5 x 3.5. Any sizes larger or smaller than that do not classify as artist trading cards, they would be listed under other categories.
2) No copyright infringements. 3) There will be NO other rules regarding HOW you decide to issue your cards; ie: series, editions, laminating...etc. I am rather set on making sure that all of the artists here have artistic license to be free of too many restrictions in regard to this. There are some standard guidelines and I will issue those in my second post here - but they are ONLY guidelines and should be used thoughtfully to create your individual plan. Now - in regard to this: We may wish to try a joint-venture in which we create a set of cards and issue them together. I believe there is room for us to build these under separate "sub-titles" here within our group. These undertakings may be subject to certain rules - but each artist will decide whether to participate or not under each project head.
Please note that when signing as a member of this group you are hereby agreeing to abide by Ebay's "Group Usage Policy": http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-groups.html If you do not abide by this policy you are subject to suspension.
