Moderators who are responsible for specific functions and activities within the group, as well as being available to guide, assist and answer questions for the general membership population.
Members who share information, experience, and know-how with each other in pursuit of the groups mission.
Qualifications for Membership:
This is a private group. Membership is by invitation only, at the discretion of the Group Leader and the Moderator(s) responsible for recruiting new members.
Responsibilities of Membership:
The general responsibilities of the members are outlined above. In addition, all group members are responsible for knowing, agreeing to, and abiding by the terms and conditions set forth in eBay's User Agreement, eBays Group Usage Policy, eBays Community Values guidelines, and our Groups own Rules and Regulations, below.
Rules & Regulations
eBays:
Since this group operates at the discretion of the eBay organization, we honor their policies and rules, first and foremost. We ask that you read and agree to their policies (links provided, below) as a prerequisite to your participation in this group. It is your responsibility, as a member, to read and understand all of these terms and conditions. Let a moderator know if you need clarification on any of the points discussed in these documents.
eBays purpose in hosting groups like ours is to help support and promote members auctions and stores. In keeping with that, we may NOT post:
x Names of off-eBay stores
x Links to, or Internet (web) addresses for, any off-eBay website that sells goods or services that may be found on ebay
Ours:
Our group has very few rules less than ten. The ones we have are all based on fundamental respect for the Group, it's Management Team (Group Leader & Moderators), and it's Members.
1. Play well with others:
We have members of all persuasions and sensitivities. Treat each other with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Profanity, racial and ethnic slurs, offensive subject matter, and name-calling will not be tolerated on the discussion board.
- Please dont post photos, graphics, or language of an adult nature. You never know who has a child standing next to them, looking at the screen, as they scroll through our discussions.
- Any issues or disagreements between members should be taken up with a moderator, privately, via email, not discussed publicly in the group or among the members outside of eBay.
- Ditto if you have a problem with a moderator; email the group leader.
- Respect other members privacy. Communication among members within the discussion threads of this group is considered as private as a personal letter so no copying of posts. You may, however, copy tutorials, instructions, how-to hints and techniques, and classes for your own private use but they may not be posted elsewhere, copied, emailed or otherwise distributed.
2. Dont run with scissors:
Please treat others as you would like to be treated. Dont act in a hostile, threatening, or harassing way toward any group member. Ever. Period.
3. Show up:
There is no requirement for posting frequency but we need to know that you are still with us from time to time. Cmon in and share your thoughts, your work, your humor and your friendship with us.
4. Participate:
As a member of our group, we need you to be an active participant, to give as well as receive the support, encouragement and knowledge that our members so generously share with each other. As you benefit from the group, give back to it. If you dont find everything you hoped for in here, please tell us what you think we should add or change. We welcome your input and encourage you to share your ideas and suggestions by sending a message to the leader or moderators.
5. Wave the flag:
Active group members in good standing are encouraged to use the group logo and acronym (FFS) in their eBay auction and store listings. This promotes the group and helps to identify it's members as part of a consortium of artisans who represent the highest standards of craftsmanship and ethical values to the eBay community throughout the world. Non-active members may not use the groups logo or letters in their listings.
6. Show us your eBay street cred:
Members must have recent, public, and positive eBay feedback.
7. Be a good neighbor:
Our group is only as strong as it's weakest member. If we give freely to each other of our knowledge, our expertise, our patience and our encouragement especially to the newbies and those among us who struggle to learn and improve then we strengthen our group, and the entire eBay community, one member at a time.
8. Bring enough to share with the entire class:
Or at least enough for all of the moderators. Chocolate that is, though we also welcome cookies, brownies, cake, pie, and candy bars!
Rule Violations & Sanctions
Rule violations may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent banning from the group at the discretion of the Group Leader and moderators.
