Tokens are objects which are often very similar in weight, size and metallic content to coins but which are not legal tender. Many coin collectors are also token collectors as tokens have much the same artistic and historical appeal as "true" coins.

Re: What's your most interesting token story?

Re: Whats the most you've paid for a Token?
The most I ever paid for an old token CWT was under $30. As for obscure denominations I have a 2 1/2c cigar, a 3c dairy and I just picked up a 4c cigar from Indiana.

Re: Missouri Trade Tokens
I am not aware of any book you refer to, but I am not into tokens very much. I do have some though, mostly Oregon tokens but a few others as well. Be sure to check with other community groups, as there are some experts out there on ebay. I hope you find what you are looking for. TC

Missouri Trade Tokens
Has there been a book on Missouri Trade Tokens? I am specifically looking for issues for the cities of Big Lake, Bigelow, Corning, Craig, Forbes, Forest City, Fortescue, Maitland, Mound City, New Point, and Oregon. Thanks for any information. Shawn Drew
