Great find!
Jun 16, 2011 07:45 AM

Hi...

We had a GREAT day last Friday Garage Saling!

My mom found 19 PM"s figurines for $2 and $1 EACH! We were sooo excited!

They are full size pieces except 2. The biggest being "He is the Star of the Morning".

Between us we only had 2 of the pieces already!

Then i went to a thrift store and found "Stand Beside Her" Statue of Liberty piece for $1.99!

Thanks for letting me share..:)

Greg :)

Greg ... good job!!  I may find some strange things now and then but you head the list when it comes to unearthing all these pieces.  :-p   I think I've only found that many in one place at a moving sale I went to.  The folks lived very near the Chapel and the lady had bought quite a few over the years.

Don't you just love this new format ???  :_|   We senior citizens cannot navigate this if we haven't used computers a lot ... that includes me.   Oh well, another thing to add to my Bucket List !!  :^O

Greg, you have to most amazing luck.  And to find so many that you did not have!  I don't know how you do it.

Annie, no I DON"T like this new format.  They can put it back as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Annie..:)

This new format really stinks...

Someone at Ebay must be bored and thought of something to do with their time...

They need to switch it back to the old format.

In this case "new" isn't always better!

3 great finds for me this weeked.  2 came from grab bags at the Precious Moments gift shop.  First was Sharing the Joy of My Faith, prototype & the second was Cherish the Treasure Within, another prototype(they were $20 ea plus got a couple other goodies in the bags too).  Also at yard sale was Your Sweet Nature Sweeps Me Away in the box with tags for $5.
Can't wait to get a little more $$ to go get a few more grab bags!

That is awesome, Keri !!  We've purchased the grab bags a few times and always got at least one nice figurine in each but never a prototype let alone two of them !!  I would be thrilled.  Maybe you and Greg can start a "who finds the most and best" contest and keep us all up to date on the score !!  B-)  Congrats.

This makes the 3rd prototype I have got out of a grab bag.  The other one was awhile back when grab bags where $15 ea.  It was a John Deere A Friend Is Someone Who Is Always There To Help.  But finding 2 really surprised me.  One of the ladies who work in the gift shop said they put a couple prototypes in the grab bags this time.  Guess they are cleaning out the back.  A couple girls bought grab bags while I was there & all 4 had Disney princess figurines that had $60-75 retails.

Hmmmm!  Teri and Greg are obviously working to win the prize from the sounds of things.  Teri has two new prototypes this week plus another one a little while back.  Greg has a Mikey doll for $5 and a beautiful new case for $10 to put the bigger figurines on.  Guess it will be a draw this week !!  Good luck this week ... can't wait to see what you guys find this time!!  B-)

That is wonderful !!  It took me over five years just to get the four I have from the set.  That was a good price, too !!  Some on eBay were over $50 just for one. Happy crewel hunting cuz' now I know you'll want to find more.  Maybe in another five years, I'll have all of them.  Dream on, I know !!!   I'm really happy for you. :-p

Got a few more grab bags a couple days ago.  Scored another prototype, this one is "You Get Me Caught Up In All The Fun" Dodgers version! The others were Disney for a total of 8 bags(plus got a Belle pic frame, 1 of the new angel votive holders, 1 waterglobe, 5 more picture frames & 4 stuffed animals).  Not too bad.  Hope everyone has had a great weekend with lots of good buys!!

You have the most unbelievable luck with those prototypes !!  I think they see you coming and throw one in a bag to be sure you get another one.  ;)  It is really a good thing that my son and grandson in CA weren't there .... you would have had a bench-clearing brawl to see who got to keep that piece.  Great going and congrats again, Keri  !!

I was at that convention and I would bet around 750 but I am sure no more than 1000.

I haven't checked in for a while and now I am curious--Brunk1844--can you give me the title of that great find or describe it--curious.  I also don't have a reference book handy to look it up.  Glad it was a good find for you.

If anyone is interested, there are two new separate listings for the Lilliput Lane PM Chapel piece.  They are described as mint and never displayed since purchase. The listing numbers are: 200649689254 and 200649673079.  Each is a BIN for $30.  These are nearly impossible to find as PM, LL, nor anyone else has any.
