I would like to post this information for anybody who might be interested in attending this very special trip. Of course some of the details are subject to change, but what is being planned will make for a fabulous experience for all who attend. I personally have been on this trip before and for any, true, Precious Moments Collector, it is a trip of a lifetime! When: February 18-26, 2012. Depart Los Angeles at 10:00 pm on Saturday the 18th. Arrive in Manila around 6:00 am on Monday the 20th. Stay in Manila the night of the 20th and fly on to Aklan on Tuesday the 21st. Stay at Sampaguita Gardens until Sunday the 26th. We would then fly back to Manila and back to Los Angeles on Sunday the 26th and arrive back in Los Angeles on Sunday the 26th. It is a little bit hard to explain, but if you travel much you will understand. When we fly to Manila we lose a day, but we gain the day back when we fly home. It is like it takes two days to get there, which explains why we leave on Saturday and don't get there until Monday. Then we gain the day back on the return trip. We leave there on Sunday, but we also arrive back in Los Angeles on Sunday. Some of the planned activities in Manila are: Visit the Precious Moments Showroom, Welcome Dinner Fellowship to be hosted by the Philippine Precious Moments Collectors' Club with a planned signing by Mr. Sam Butcher, Visit and tour the Malacañan Palace with the sisters of the President to accompany us (plans are being attempted to actually have a short audience with the President, but that is not promised at this point in time), help with a Loving, Caring, Sharing in Action Service Activity along with the members of the Philippine Precious Moments Collectors' Club, and tour Metro Manila. Some of the planned activities while in Aklan are: Cultural Night and Spa Treatments while at Sampaguita Gardens, more of the Loving, Caring, Sharing in Action projects to include a visit to the nearby school - a visit to the nearby orphanage with feeding and gift giving - and also visiting a local community, there will be afternoon lectures and training activities while at Sampaguita Gardens, and also some Eco-Friendly activities planned. Cost: Plane Tickets from Los Angeles to Manila and back to Los Angeles will be around $800.00 - $1,000.00 USD, there is an approximate additional $700.00 USD which is to cover the plane tickets from Manila to Kalibo and back from Aklan to Manila, bus transportation and transfers during the trip, hotel and food during the trip, 2 Spa Treatments while at Sampaguita Gardens, t-shirt, Goodie Bag and Souvenirs.
